In Site administration > Plugins > Authentication > LDAP server configure the ldap server plugin as needed
To syncronize on demand, you have to configure the php path. Go to Site administration > Server > System paths and fill the Path to PHP CLI field, usually something like /usr/bin/php
Next, go to Site administration > Server > Tasks > Scheduled tasks, click de config icon on the LDAP users sync job task, define the task schedule, enable the task and save.
Now on the Scheduled tasks list tehres an option Run now available, click it if you wish to syncronize the users.
